But something that is rarely mentioned is their shirts,
which I love. I have a few purchased at Barneys LA
going on 10 years ago. I'll have to re-check out the current
selection at Barney's. In recent years the local selection
has fallen flat.

Drake's ties are too narrow for you? The ones I have are 3.75", IIRC. What width ties do you wear?

^ Very nice.

When I saw it in the other thread I wondered if it was indeed the light navy one, as it looks lighter on Drakes' site. Thank you for posting it here.

The grey/purple cashmere tie, while it lasted, was pretty much the best tie ever.

Their packaging has become pretty excessive. A while back, Drake's ties came in a small cardboard fold with a card. Now, you need several instruments to open the various layers of paper, cardboard, paper, paper and box. What's next, carbon?

Hehe. The blue paper is beautiful though.

NOBD - Great scarf! I've been considering ordering that same one. Is it as soft as you'd expect from Drake's? Basically one step away from Cashmere?

Yes, it's quite soft, not cashmere soft but more like cotton soft, if you know what I mean.

This one (same lambswool/angora blend) isn't soft (must be because of the weave), but I like it anyway:

I dunno, I really appreciate when a seller takes the time and effort to ensure that your tie arrives in pristine condition -- especially after a lengthy, international journey. Nothing sucks more than buying a pricey tie online, only to find it wrinkled or damaged upon unpacking it.

Thanks. Drakes handled my orders really quick.
