TMZ isn't reporting it as a death, but lots are Twittering about it being a death.

A) He's on IR, so he wouldn't have played anyway.

B) Nothing shows the world what a classy sports fan you are like celebrating a serious injury/death.

I heard on the radio that he died but now I'm hearing he's still in critical condition.

You don't fall out of a pickup truck and be in critical condition without a severe head injury. His career is certainly done and I'm guessing the poor sap will be mentally disabled.

I dont really care one way or the other cause the dudes a major fuck up, but this - once again - shows the harm the blog-o-sphere can do.

- Someone made a fake twitter account using a dallas reporters name
- Blogs, TMZ and other non-fact checking institutions picked up on this and reported it as truth
- Other places picked it up and reprted THAT as fact

Sad man.
