I can't because they kinda screwed up the chinos and I don't know if they are fixable. I don't need another crate feassco ( sp) . It very very mild but I can see it buggin a few people.
The fabric, needle , and fit are amazing. I just dont know what to do.

Well, this certainly doesn't sound good. The chino has been a trippy journey, to say the least.

August: Chino coming in October!
September: Chinos in October are going to be the best chino on the market!
October: Chino coming in December!
November: *APK starts seeing a therapist to help cope with the disappointment of this delay*
December: Chino coming at the end of January!
January: Pictures of the chino prototype! Better than raw sex! Chinos coming in early February!
February: Chinos will be delayed so that they can be perfect.
Late February: Chinos will be here next week!
March: Chinos are here, they're the best chino ever and they'll be going on sale tomorrow!
Later that March day: Chino pictures and measurements going up tonight!
Still later that March day: Chinos going on sale next week!
The next March day: Whaaaaaaaat?
That same March day: Found a flaw with the chinos. They'll go on sale in a couple weeks.
The next March day: I'll share news on Monday about the chinos. It'll be for the best.
Monday: I have loaded all the chinos onto a raft, not unlike the one Elian Gonzalez floated to America in, and pushed it out to sea.

Yeah, I feel for you. I remember how people who did not even buy stuff last time getting all whiney.

Ok. Here is the deal with the Chino.
The Chino ******* rocks. The fabric, needle , and fit all superb.
However there is on flaw that is bugging me. I have spoke with a lot of people and here is what's up.

Because the high hip is tight and the rise is low and the slant pockets were not reduced in size the is a little fabric gathering which happens in a lot of chinos. It's bugging the **** out of me.
No one notices it ( really) when I show them the chino. Everyone says great things. It's not unti l I point it out do they say "oh yah I see that now".
Well the SF guy is a little more attention to detail oriented the most. So having ( what I would like to think) intgerity I have to make it aware so there is no back lash.

I make my own patterns. I don't just knock of someone elses ****. I go to my tailoring teacher and we go over things and then I proceed with the factory. I think that's the right thing to do and error will be higher ( for the time being). I am studying tailoring for many reasons I hope you the consumer appreciate the steps I am taking to be a designer/tailor.

The chino apprently had that problem which I over looked in the sample which every dug. I thik you will still dig the chino and wear the **** out of them. There is only one problem and I explained that so there will be no need to bring it up. Don't be that **** stirrer.
For the people who decide to get the chino you will love them .. I promise.

The are a couple cures to the problem. up size 1 or 2 sizes. The high hip waist is tight but since you are sizing up in gives a fuller looker.
Now I am staying with the 32 and I get loads of compliements. I went into "redeem" in DC yesterday and Lori " the owner" loved them on me. WHich was a good thing to hear.

DO NOT DOWN SIZE ON THESE PANTS. they are a ******* chino not a spray painted jean. I think most of the guys that post like tighter fitting wears and get all weired out when they want to wear something tight that's not suppose to be worn tight and they wonder why it doesn;t look good.

So because of my little error I am offering 30% off to all SF memebers and tote holders know the drill.
I am not trying to sell anyone but you are getting a solid product and a great deal. I have found the problem and it will be corrected on the next run.

Mauro - As a repeat customer of yours due to your great customer service and a fan of the work your are putting in with your new line (love the first batch of WvG shirts), I also appreciate the honesty and forwardness and willingness to hear our inputs and put up with some of the **** you get and admire that you keep on pushing forward. It's evident that many of us have been waiting the drop of these and it does sound like the "flaw" is minor in nature, but I admire being forward about it amongst the pressure from us to get the pics up and all. Add the price drop on top of that, and well, pretty stand up in my book.

Definitley snap a pic of that issue for us. It may not be feaible, but a pic of you or someone in their typical size and maybe in the sized up version as a comparison would be very helpful for us, I know it would be for me. I had other purchases in mind, but have been waiting out these chinos something fierce so I am hoping that pics and all would be up by the weekend so by the end of it, I can possibly order one or even two. Get them pics up for us!
