Best value dress shirt - Page 2

I'll give a nod to Brooks Bros as well. I just got rid of several because I've had them for so long and just got tired of them, but the shirts were still in good condition. So I have nothing but compliments on longevity.

I think T.M. Lewin shirts (currently on sale 4 for 100 pounds - less than that when you subtract tthe V.A.T.) are a good value. I phone in my orders and they arrive in a little over a week! If you are on the west coast Nordstrom shirts are a good value especially at the sale that will start on Father's day.

Brooks Brothers shirts last forever. No longer is one limited to their full cut size--which is truly a full cut! Their no iron, slim fit shirts come in many attractive collars, styles, and colors. Most stores, I assume, have a deal "if you buy three shirts.." All in all, a good shirt for the money.

I have not purchased a Lands End shirt in years, but I think that they make a good basic shirt.

I like BB, especially their slim-fit shirts.

I was rather pleased with my Land's end custom fit shirt (really, just a very basic computer MTM program). It came out pretty well, given that it only cost $62 plus shipping. And I liked their 80's pinpoint fabric - at the least, it seems nicer than the BB non-iron fabrics. I'll probably order a pink one soon. My only "complaint" is (and I knew this going in) the apparent lack of flexibility with some of the styling choices - I would like to get a taller collar, but it doesn't appear to be one of the customization elements.

Clarinetplayer, how are your Clarke & Dawe shirts getting on?

Good as the day I purchased them. Very little or no shrinkage. They launder and iron well.

The AMs I bought from Ian (shopthefinest) launder and iron very well, compared to the zegna's I normally buy at sale time from the local shop (although in fairness the higher end Zegna's launder and iron very well too).

I also like my AMs from Ian. Holding up quite nicely.

I would not recommend Ike Behar. I have tried several and the fabrics do not hold up and mediocre construction as well.
