Skinny guys like me have very limited stomach real estate, I gotta make sure what I put in has as many cals as possible. Which means I'm reaching for the peanut butter sammich over the peach or apple every time.
Try dried fruit, such as raisins. I keep a massive bag in my desk and eat a few handfuls a day. You really have to have those nutrients if you want to gain muscle so don't give up completely on fruit.
Also why not use blueberries in your shakes with the bananas? I love them, they make my brain tingle
