The problem with online buying is that I can walk into any numbers of local stores and more often than not beat online prices. Plus I can see and try the item right then and there. I've found ebay prices on most style items to be higher than local store prices for new with tag items with new shoes being high on ebay. For instance, Costco books are less than Amazon.

Granted, some people may live too far from the stores that sell what they think they might enjoy; in this instance, the slight risk of buying online might make sense.
DandySF, Have tried asking for swatches when you are interested in a tie or pocket square? I think Lands End is usually happy to send swatches and we are always happy to do so.

In general, if the cost is low and product is with 100% refundable, buying online is not an issue right.

It's been my experience that online items are rarely bargins (even without the state sales tax) and shipping is often a high percentage of the price.
