Check out the what are you wearing thread at the top of the forum, see some pants that you like, and look up where you can buy them.

I'm in NYC too.

Incotex make a lovely pant. You can almost always find them on sale at Saks. Zanella as well, although with Zanella you need to be sure of your own good taste, as they use some god awful patterns.

I just bought a pair of nice brown flannel flat front Incotex slacks at Saks. There were a bunch of them on the sale rack. Really nice cloth, fit is fantastic. Around 175ish, although if you wait and you're lucky, the price will drop again post-Xmas.

Saks has great sales. Also, if you're diligent about checking, there's Century 21.

Daffy's?

Meh...maybe it's me, but Daffy's, Syms, TJMax, Loehmens el alia have consistently failed me. Century 21 gets much better merchandise.

Interesting. Know anywhere brick & mortar that carries those? I'd love to try them on.

You're in NYC. Go for Incotex.

I'm in Toronto and I am not lucky enough to "wait for sales" on pants since there are no size 32 to be found. Dozens of size 34 and up of the same style, but 32 sells out. My guess is fat people don't buy high end pants. I've started buying flat front flannel 5-pocket pants. The traditional side pockets dogear out on me, and when I find a nice enough 5-pocket that has neither a jean or chino look, I don't think they are too casual. Blue Jeans are starting too feel _too_ casual, even the quality ones. If you live in Toronto and are size 32, don't read below, but I like the look of Brax and Sand brands. Incotex is the StyleForum approved brand. I'll have to run into those somehow.

You do know Zegna sells odd pants also? If you like Zegna pants buy them.

Living in NYC and don't know where to buy nice dress pants?

That's like saying living in Las Vegas and soliciting advice on where to go for gambling

Not 32. 34+ is fat. 32 is normal and can even include a little fat on smaller frames. I know it depends on body size, but I think in general 34 is slight belly/beer gut or love handles. 36 is full on beer gut or love handles. 38 is both.

No, 34 and 36 is totally normal for tall people. And anyway, waist size has very little to do with body composition. Men generally gain fat on their belly and sides, ie above the waist. Someone can have a huge gut and wear 32 jeans; someone with a large frame can be fatless and still be a 36.

You're right. I noticed today some people wear their belly over their pants. Since Incotex is the StyleForum-approved pants, where can I find them in Toronto?
