id watch on dvd or download based on the trailer, but suspect it's no good with ford and a random guy scripting it. has anyone read the isherwood novel?

Apparently, Firth's performance is Oscar-worthy. Not saying much, but still. The visual aesthetics are obviously there; we're talking Ford here.
