This was the first nice watch I bought, and I still wear it. As an aside, mike, there's a guy on TZ with a WTB for the 48 - might be worthwhile checking him out, especially at this price point.

You should try mounting in on a 24x22 thicker leather strap that's had the ends notched to fit the 22mm lugs. IMHO, enhances the appearance significantly and makes it look less small.

I've only searched "PAM 48" 90 times in the last few days, as my end of year distribution is burning a hole in my pocket. Nice price. Unfortunately, I'm afraid my wife will figure out that it cost more than a grand and insist I get her new granite countertops as a quid pro quo.

So what's the problem?

No problem now. Ended up talking my wife into built-in benches, a new kitchen table, and crown molding in the kitchen instead of new granite, which meant I could still afford to buy this sweet watch. Can't wait until I get it
