I have shitty recovery...If i train 3 days in a row I'm overtrained and feel sick and lethargic. My week is usually train, cardio, train, cardio, train, cardio, rest. Good luck with this shit, I couldn't do it. Depending on what you're running though, your recovery might be working 3x as fast.

Sorry I didn't get back to this earlier. It may be rest pause. I don't really research, I just kind of think it up in my head, but smarter guys did it all before. I regard it as a different kind of pyramid. The approach is steep, but short, and over the peak it's more gradual, but longer, if that makes any sense. I just don't like wearing myself out before I get to really heavy 1RM weight. That way, I'm more likely to get that weight up, and I won't be all dejected and pissed off when I'm doing the longer sets.

50x135 lb presses....holy shit. And here I am all proud that I hit a milestone in that I can now do 70 pushups...
