Who gives you crap about your jeans? - Page 2

every person i meet i tell them my name, where i'm from, what model of jeans i'm wearing, and how expensive they are. imagine that. haha.

how about the stock of jeans you've bought for other people waiting to be mailed out? that would be a hint to Go Burgle Your Place late at night. actually apart from mother few others give a shit about my jeans. i've had a few friends ask me if i've washed them yet, though. they always sigh knowingly when i reply in the negative.

Advertising your jeans price for the sake of doing it is.. well, asinine.

They asked me how much they cost and I told them - this is because of course, they asked me how much a pair of loafers cost a couple weeks back and I told them.

If only they knew about my JLs and Barker Blacks.

I have a strict policy of non-disclosure regarding the price of my jeans.

Hehe, I know, that was my comment on doing it.

And I didn't forget, I want a Redmoon keyhook/Sugarcane belt from you.. just broke as hell right now - how long will that option be available to me?

the only people who ever give me crap about my jeans are dudes on internet message boards.

Those dudes are Supergay, I hear.

Got that right!!!

Also, I used to justify $300 for a pair of jeans by saying it was gonna be the only pair of jeans I bought for a year and they would last a lifetime, but now that I have multiple pairs of over $200 jeans and bought a few of them a couple months apart that doesn't seem to be truthful. I decided to resort to pointing out other people's flaws hoping they will forget about mine.

I used to get a lot of questions and comments on my jeans when I wore distressed Diesels, AGs and the like, but since I've joined the dark side, nobody really says anything... I think most people assume I'm wearing Levis.

Since I'm working on my Rescues currently, I greatly enjoy telling my friends that 'the indigo in my crotch is breaking down'. They say it's quite the pickup line.

I think some people notice that the jeans are expensive just because they fit a bit better than formless Old Navy stuff. Ah well.

Nobody gives a crap about my jeans. I'm the only one who knows it and I like it that way. I don't like to show off. I like to wear for the quality and I like it to look like it is embarrassingly cheap when it is actually embarrassingly expensive. Clothes looking simple and humble, but so inexplicably nice! That's the image I want people to have.

yes! Agreed completely. I don't like to wear anything that's noticably branded. I even picked off the back pocket stitching of my Nudies for this reason. Aesthetic minimalism + attention to detail always looks better than its opposite anyway.
