Havn't made the decision but it will likely be a growers bottling. Also will be sampling some of the higher end Cavas before making the decision.

Another champagne that I particularly like, which may be off the radar of most people, is Ayala Rose Majeur.

Ciquot has a number of older vintage Champagnes for sale in the $75 range, might be worth giving one a shot.

Roederer Hermitage 2003
Cliquot Brut NV
Tattinger 2003
Every day champagne is Gruet Brut, excellent wine from US.

For those enjoying Procceco or Cremat I would highly recommend Martini Asti Spumante.

Inexplicably my local store has a sale on Cliquot and Tattinger they letting them go for $36.99. Unbelievable.

Any other every day champagne? I would love to drink it more often but unfortunately can not yet afford $50+ per bottle daily.

from New Mexico in fact! I have had this a number of times, highly recommended for the price.

Roederer California has also gotten high marks in the past.

Unfortunately there is nothing that can touch Gruet for its price and taste. It is sold for 12.99 to 14.99 in many US stores.-superb.
Next step up would put you into $22 price range and it will be indeed Roederer Brut Anderson Valley. - extremly good
Next step up (arguably) would be Moet California, Tattinger California for around $26-$29.00 .- solid and unoffensive
Next step up would be Cliquot or Perrie Julet (French) for around $37-39.00. - very good NV
Next step up would be Roederer L'Hermitage 2003 (Anderson Valley) for $39.99 -superb.
And then the sky is the limit.

Nicolas Feuillatte- the 2002 pink is rather palatable... the 1985 R.I.P... other than those any of the non-vintages are most quite throwdownyourthroatable (or elsewhere)...

fun fact: Gruet's vineyards are right outside of a town called Truth or Consequences (nonetheless, good juice, though i do think it's gone a bit downhill in the last couple of years). at my house, everyday drink is Roederer Estate (you can find it as cheap as $18 a bottle at Cost Plus). for celebration, a nice grower-champagne like Pierre Peters, Lasalle, Chiquet, or my absolute favorite: Jacques Selosse (my daughter, tasting this one for the first time at the French Laundry on her 21st birthday said "It tastes like the silver lining." whatta gal).
