thanks for all of your reply, from your reply I have noticed that reducing the body weight is more important to make us more smarter. I will try my best to do the same.

While slimming is obviously key...

... if I WERE fat, I'd rock the whole "evil Southern plantation-owner white-linen suit with straw hat" look, complete with a big cigar and menacing laugh, and I'd be driven around in a big-ass white convertible of some kind (a white Rolls drophead with steer horns on the front would be perfect). A red pocket square would complete the look.

Do that, and all the all the girls will come to the yard, guaranteed!... well, in Mississippi or Louisiana, at least.

HAHA, love it! Honestly, I'm in the same situation. I've found that finding flattering jeans/ pants is a first really important step. I don't know what you size you wear (I'm a 44 now :-S) and find that Ed Hardy and Old Navy are my friends right now. I go onto oldnavy.com and order dozens of jeans in different sizes, and keep what looks good and return the "rejects" to my closest Old Navy. This way if you lose weight/ plan on it, you don't have to feel guilty about giving away your jeans once they don't fit. As far as shirts go- I LOVE Lacoste for actually carrying larger sizes. Their size 9 is almost too big on me- I'm 6'4'', broad-shouldered, about 48 around the chest. You may want to look into their vertically striped sweaters, dark coloured long-sleeved polos, and and vertically striped button-up shirts. My advice is to invest in some nice accessories and shoes if you aren't able to buy pret-a-porter couture. A bright coloured messenger with a pair of matching shoes would be awesome and draw attention away from your mid-section. Maybe a pair of Tod's in a bright color?

It's winter- you can dress in layers and try and cover-up your insecurity- but honestly, it's a great time to start losing weight/ exercising, dieting.

+1000 PG is very fit. I would call myself "stocky" 6' 185lbs. Mid 30's, kids, entertain for work allot, not getting any thinner.

Thanks, but actually I am, but I dress to well enough to cover it up. I only have a 4" drop from chest to waist: 40" chest 36" waist and my hips, ass, legs are rather thick (think NFL running back). I am not "fat" but stocky yes.

PG is 100% fit.

Here is a better example that shows me as "stocky" but in the suit before and after tailoring:

Before:

After Tailoring:

So the point is, getting a good fit can help you look way better even if you don't have a great body.

Yes proof that good tailoring does make a huge difference - same suit, same guy, same weight etc.. I figure there is about 4 weeks between pictures.
