Not really. It was an even game.

i saw it and i say the u.s had by far the better chances, and that doesn't even include the hand ball which should have been a u.s. goal.

to say the u.s. can't compete is silly.

The US could possibly win it although the chances are very very slim. As long as we stay disciplined, and have shit loads of luck and dubious calls going our way, we can do what the Greeks did in 2004. In a tournament, any team can win if the cards are dealt right.

Never said they can't compete, but they hardly overmatched the Germans. Sure, they had some scoring chances. So did the Germans. It was even.

A good draw for England and the US I would say.

That may not be the case. Slovenia isn't a traditionally strong soccer nation but they've been putting a lot of work into sports in the last five years. They've become a force to be reckoned with in basketball and are getting stronger in soccer as well.
Algeria lacks discipline but they can certainly stage a surprise. England may be the favorite in this group but the U.S. has the capacity to defeat them. It'll be interesting to watch.

Germany, Ghana, Serbia, Australia - should be a very interesting group. Our coach is Serbian, so i want to see how our FA will play this hand. I know i will never play against or coach against Ghana if i were in Sports, so i dont know how it will work out for Milovan.

Germany is a powerhouse as always, and Australia is very good and underrated. We need to do well in our first two games to have a chance of getting out of the group.

I feel bad for Ivory Coast - they got shafted AGAIN!!!

That's an interesting point about the coach. Been wondering about that myself.

This is another group, I think, where we could see the favorite (i.e. Germany) make a premature departure.
Each team in this group has the capacity to beat the others. Australia is probably pretty underrated. They'll also have a large following, which will no doubt help.
