Here in America, the minimum size to be considered a bedroom, in my opinion, should be at least 15'x15'.

My master bedroom is 27' x 25'.

that's a gigantic bedroom... that'd make alot of living rooms / family rooms look tiny.

I disagree about 15x15... maybe that's the min size to be considered a bedroom in a McMansion, but anywhere I've ever lived a normal (non master bedroom) bedroom was roughly 10x12

My bedroom, going off estimates from the size of a single bed of 3x6ft... I'm about 10ftx9ft with 2 small closets (one probably 3x4 and one 3x3) It's pretty small. My bedroom at my parents house was more than twice this size.

If I build again, or expand I will build a "bedroom" only big enough to hold our bed and a few feet to spare around it--with a high ceiling and a large window. It will be a tomb of sleep. Space will be given over to two very large master closets and two seperate but modestly sized bathrooms.

My bedroom is 8' x 12' + closet. A bit on the small side but functional. I'll take my small bedroom downtown over a gigantic room out in the middle of Suburbia/Exurbia any day.
