Thanks @SoGent, it's a DB suit I really like but looks like today is the last day for it. It was starting to get warmer here but the weather forecasters got it right for once so took a chance on a cooler day...

Thank you sir once again. More importantly your @upr_crust reference is spot on.

He carries it all off with an effortless ease, certainly someone I look up to and try to emulate icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Quite happy with them so far.

How wide would you say they are in the toe box and around the ball of the foot? I absolutely love the look, by I have the feet of a yeti...

My feet are about 11,5cm wide at the ball of the foot, the Meermin shoes are size 8,5UK and they have a pretty snug fit.

According to Meermin their last Ama is supposed to be Standard - comfortable fitting E+

In comparison my Crockett & Jones Wembley Size 8,5UK Last 360, Fitting E, are in my experience wider than the meermin, so i guess meermin is a bit on the small side..

Been wearing these a lot lately so I figured I'd order 4 more pairs of suede shoes biggrin.gif.

Nice looking shoe. IMO, that style DM is better paired with dress trousers or a suit.

Thanks for the info. Now I feel slightly stupid for buying so many epaulet chinos facepalm.gif. Do you think the same applies for suede semi-brogue oxfords? Still too formal? I don't wear jackets at my work yet.

Just my personal preference. If the chinos are on the dressier side, the pairing could look very nice.

A lighter color suede will look a bit more casual.

Only chinos and no dress trousers at work?

Unfortunately. I do have a couple cheap traditional fit worsted wools but I don't like wearing them because of the fit. I'm still building my wardrobe and since I am overweight I try not to go crazy on items that I'll have to replace once I lose it. Guess that's why I've been buying shoes like crazy. I do have a light grey hopsack and soon a medium grey hopsack on order though.

IMO, suede semi-brogues + chinos = :slayer:.
