I don't know what your budget is but I do love my EG. You can find similar models from other makers but I have two pairs of shoes that I have worn with everything from a casual suit to jeans:

In addition, I don't know what people here are spraying on their shoes but I advise against it. Suede should be brushed and cleaned regularly. It will start to get some patina with time but as long as you are not changing your oil in them they clean off just fine. Also, I don't understand some member's fear of water as suede can be washed.

i actually did wash my suede shoes under running water last week. got rid of some marks that beat through the protection spray, that rubbing and scrubbing could not get off.

afterwards i stuffed newspaper in the shoes, as well as wrapping the shoes with newspaper (to absorb moisture after a pat dry)..... next day came out fresh and new biggrin.gif

Type of shoe aside, thinking about color only....if you only bought one of these pairs, which color would you have chosen?

Hard question. The mink suede is beautiful and rich but I find the tobacco suede appropriate for three seasons while the mink is only appropriate for two.

I'd buy a suede for fall if I didn't have a two year old. It gets crazy.

The skinny brown laces that came w/ them seemed both boring & anemic. When I ordered the blue laces, I was hoping for something a little subtler, but I still like them.

Where'd you get the laces?
