Gucci did a really well cut one button, slim cut blue-black denim sportsjacket in, um, 2000 or something. That the closest I've seen.

I just bought a Wrangler jacket at the fleamarket for $5. It looks decent enough even though I have no idea what model it is or if it is vintage or not. I suspect it is just a regular jacket, but I'm not quite sure. The collar is corduroy and there is a inner lining to the jacket, which makes it thicker than plain denim. I'm trying to decide if I should remove the lining or not. The lining makes the jacket really warm and good for winter, but it also makes it bulky. I've always thought that denim jackets were meant to be worn thin and slim. Do you think I should leave it the way it is or try to modify it for a more slimming look? Here are the pictures: Any idea if this is something special or just a common jacket? edit: mispelled "courdoroy"

He did a version in brown flannel twill as well, which looked really nice.

The stripped-down jackets you are referring to are excellent. The sleeves are slightly long, the armhole is high... The just look great. A unique, simple, elegant take on the classic denim jacket.

Good luck finding them, though.

Yo,

Coldrice. Does samurai sell kids denim? I need to buy my kid (on the way) some nice denim and I guess mini nudies are no longer.

Thanks

Yoox had loads for fire sale prices, and I've seen them at the discount racks in various LA area Loehmanns. I think that a lot of consumers just didn't understand the concept.
