I agree that ACA is a clusterfuck of historic proportions, sort of like this post.

But think about all the poor people (i.e., less than 4x the poverty level) you are also buying health care for. I'm sure they appreciate it.

Most of the poorz aren't actually buying health care. They're just paying the fine.

Sorry, tax.

All you nay sayers need to STFU. Gallop has found that all the billions spent, currently being spent, and that will be spent in the future are paying off HUGE! The uninsured rate has dropped 1.2%! Suck it haters!

How much would Obamacare cost a poor person per year? When I was in the restaurant industry many of us poors would make less than $20,000 a year, and get around $1500 back with the tax refund. So the government would get the tax refund back? Unless you got health problems... why would a healthy poor person pay for this shit? Too many poor people that tax refund helps pay months of rent.

The actual "poors" aren't paying a dime because they're on Medicaid. Even people well above the poverty line are getting pretty hefty subsidies. At $20k/yr, you'd end up paying a thousand bucks for health insurance after $1800 in subsidies. The fine would be $200.

Looks like a few of you may have to go m2m rather than bespoke for your next few purchases.

This is on a .gov site...

Do you think if I submit my story about my premiums doubling and my deductible tripling they would feature it as prominently as Lucy's?

Nice to see they chose .gifs of fucking retards doing retarded and dangerous things and getting injured to remind us all why it's worth us supporting them financially.

So because of my income I was told to go check what my subsidy will be (a whopping $0) and then apply through the marketplace website which... still doesn't work.

You could always file for a Hardship Exemption from the fine. Apparently they're just accepting all claims of hardship this year and waiving the fine.
