I saw some sale prices of BD players down around $99.

Blu Rays are often on Amazon.com from $10-20.

I haven't bought a regular DVD (unless a gift) since I got my PS3, they look and sound that great. Netflix is a great idea as you can get at least 3 or 4 Blu Ray rentals a month on the cheap.

Apparently the first version they released to BR was horrible. It was a straight dvd transfer or something. They've since reissued it under the title of "remastered edition" or something.

Is your TV 120Mhz or 240Mhz? I got dizzy watching Fast & Furious on an older set.

Yeah, he obviously meant hz.
Small tip to OP, if you really want to "bring out the power" of your hdtv, just buy a bluray player and get it over with. But then again maybe you dont, if you can continually find 15gb rips of movies you want(which seems really big to me, most of the 1080p rips ive seen are only half that size). And I'm guessing since you were worried about quality only after finding out the real thing is 40gb, the quality difference must be very marginal... or youre sitting very far away.
