What suits are slim fitting? Have low-rise pants? Are very modern and sleek? - Page 2

If you let some alterations tailor start fucking around with the rise and pleats on a Kiton, I will fight you.

Seriously though, if you're set on the modern look, go Jil Sander, Costume National, etc., like everyone else said.

If, however, you're not set on something terribly fashion forward, but just want a nice slim fit, take a look at Borrelli and Attolini.

Jil Sander is making sack suits right now.

How about extreme British bespoke?

That will leave no victims behind with its explicit waist and concave shoulders.

Well what I was planning on doing is buying a Kiton or Brioni second hand so I wouldn't be spending as much money on it (probably around $1K).

All things considered, yes, but he is definitely looking for a younger look right now. Let him. You only live once after all, and no one says he can't hand down those younger looking suits to his kids later. As for Thom Browne, he makes a quality product, but the price is a bit exorbitant and I should also mention the trousers are quite high waisted.

Raf for Jil Sander doesn't really have a sack suit in mind, just that loose clothes are a signature aesthetic of his.

At last sack suits are fashion forward.

Isaia has the cut and quality you are looking for, Kemosabe.

Yup. Yamamoto has a similar aesthetic, though with completely different roots.

Re. an earlier question about low rise pants going "out". Flat front pants sit more flatteringly on the hips than the natural waist, while pleated pants look better worn higher. A skinny guy looks better with flat front pants, while, in general, a more generously built man look better with pleats, as long as he accepts his body as it is and does not size down, having the pleats buldge or having the pants ride under his belly (if he has one). An athletic guy looks good in either. Good exercise and eating habits are worth $100K of fabric. (Brad Pitt looks good even in his homeless person outfits.)

Fok.

yep. Just tried on a new JS suit a couple weeks ago and was shocked at how shapeless and boxy the jacket was. thumbs waaaaaay down. to the original poster....yea, not sure why you just wouldnt get Gucci or Dolce & Gabanna main line? or there's always Paul Smith main line, Ozwald Boateng "bespoke couture" line...both are hand canvassed and easily get-able in LA. Their rises arent obscenely low, but lower than something normal like Brooks Brothers. *if you havent already, check out the new Dior Homme store on Rodeo. Suits are good quality and have the criteria yer looking for.
