Does NOT apply to Aldens.

According to their website, they do not ship Alden shoes abroad. Please let us know if you know whether they make any exceptions.

I must have gotten lucky, they gave me the 10% on both pairs I ordered. I have the tan and the brown should be coming in soon.

Website disclaimer specifically excludes Alden, but if they do give a discount in real life, then that's great!

These Aldens seem to be very popular around. Do you guys usually pay full retail for them in US?

I think I have not paid full retail for a pair of shoes in the last 3 years, and I bought many...I guess I have a problem with this now.

aldens are very difficult to get discounted. One of the few places I know to get seconds at discounted prices is The Shoemart. they post a list every few months if you call or e-mail and get on the list for them.

Epaulet in NY has them for $365. http://www.epauletshop.com/servlet/t...-Chukka/Detail

He ships internationally for $25.

Correct, shipped promptly to Ireland for $390 all in and with the $ in the toilet you'd be mad not to avail.

I'm considering the snuff suede but unfortunately Aldens aren't available in Toronto at all
I'm a 10.5D in AE last 5, 10.5 in Clarks Dessert Boots, 11 in runners. Any fitting help would be greatly appreciated .

Also, since they're in the same price range can anyone drop some input on how these compare to the Church's Ryder?

I have the Aldens in 9.5d. That is my standard dress shoe size. I have Macneils in 9.5 (I think that might be last 5) and I wear 10 runners/casual sneakers, 9.5 desert boots.

I think a 10 1/2D should work for you then, but note these seem to run slightly narrow. I size a half size down in almost every Alden last except these, and I am a 10 1/2D in Allen Edmonds.

Bump.

I might get these. Fritzl will be mad.

I think you'll be glad you did. I also think this is the best colour for those, especially if you already have boots or shoes in snuff and dk brown suede.

As for fritzl, just tell him you're going back to school and he'll be fine wink.gif

I just hope they'll fit. I have difficult feet...
