I think the pattern of the medallions are different as well.

Of course, the Mackay medallion may be requested for a MTO Asquith.

In terms of durability, the Mackay's shoe trees are inferior to the ones that EG provides with their shoes, but you have to pay more for the EG trees, whereas Mackay includes the shoe trees.

The Edwardian Mackays come with the spring-loaded trees. The dark oak and black come with the hinged trees.

I'm not sure that's how the shoe trees work. I have a pair in Edwardian that came with hinged trees that, IMO, suck. I'd much prefer spring-loaded trees. If anyone wants a pair of hinged trees in UK 7E/US 7.5D, I'll let them go cheap.

The hinged trees were from last season, RLPL switched to spring-loaded trees in spring'06.

My comments on inferior quality just refer to the hinged trees: the wood tends to break where the screws are.

How is the sale accessed? An earlier post in this thread said the sale was distributed by email, I believe.

What degree of "sale" are we talking about for the EG mid-July sale? 20%, 30%, 40%?
