How many potential life-long friends do you have? - Page 6

There's a core group of six of us. We've all been friends from at least high school, and three of us met in first grade. Three of us live in the same city, the others are only a few hours away. We all hang out a few times per year and plan two big trips a year. Also are in the same fantasy football league. It's great - all our wives/significant others and other friends are always amazed at how we all keep in touch.

I can comfortably say 4 -6. Someone made a pretty good point earlier, unfortunately, shit changes when wife and kids come around. I don't think things should, but i've seen it happen a few times already.

One.

So far 2... 1 in college and 1 in high school. Reliability is hard to find.

I would anticipate 3-4 people. I consider my colleague a good friend, and plan on working with him until retirement. Otherwise, one guy from undergrad and one friend from postgrad.

The problem is that if a person is out of sight, they're out of mind for me, and I do not like talking on the phone.
