I'm surprised by the votes socal isn't getting

According to the poll at this moment, my taste is twice as bad as Vox's and Moo's is 2.5 times as bad as mine. Interesting.

Socal doesn't have bad taste, he just has a style different from others on here. Lots of guys have plain old bad taste.

Agreed. People seem to think that wearing a jacket and stuffing a pocket square in the pocket automatically buys taste points.

I wonder: is there such a thing as mediocre taste? I think I have mediocre taste, but I tend to believe that mediocre taste is the same as bad taste .

I honestly can't recall outfits from at least half of the people listed on that poll.

While I agree with you to a certain extent, this is a slippery slope. Where does one draw the line between style and taste? If style is something someone aspires to, and taste is their choice with regards to it, what if buying an ugly blazer and stuffing a pocket square in it is someone idea of "style"? If executed perfectly, does this exempt them from having bad taste?

I reckon that capes and high-heeled boots on men are always bad taste, regardless of semantics.

Taste in dress is a matter of application and transgression rather than semantics and rules.
