Maybe Apples went to LiBaroon.

Believe it or not, I don't know where Y William Yu is located.

Chan has probably the most comprehensive range of fabric available of the higher end tailors in HK. You should have no problem finding VBC. In fact, the VBC distributor is located directly opposite WW Chan on 2/F Burlington House.

In all honesty, you have gone to the wrong Peter Lee. I suspected this when you noted Peter carried Zegna and Cerrutti, which is not true.

Maybe you found a new mystery tailor. Best keep it a secret.

Peter gave me his card yesterday which shows his name as Peter Li.

I should have added, that after Phat Guidos', Slewfoot's and Gazman 70K's reports, I was looking forward to visiting Peter. He was very attentive but the fabrics were very disappointing. Jantzen's fabrics are much better but even these I'd rate as average.

I guess you get what you pay for, but as there are so many mentions of decents suits at around $1200 even at WW Chan, I was hoping to get some nice blazers at around $500 here in HK.

Maybe I am not being realistic. Jantzen made me a blazer (which I've now turned into a suit after the comments posted here which were really helpful. Got them to make the slacks this week and will change the buttons from brown to blue) for about $600USD and Baron's quoted $750.
What will Chan charge for a blazer in Wool/cashmere or Fresco?

And does Chan have a good VBC range?

Gazman,

Well that's a relief really. I was doubting the collective wisdom of you guys. Yep I'm looking at the card now and it is Baron Kay's Tailor @ 43 Mody Rd. TST. I'll Google Peter Lee HK and see if I can find the real Baron and check him out on Friday.

Too funny! Apples - Peter Lee of Lee Baron is located in the Far East Mansion which is a block away from the back of the Peninsula Hotel in Kowloon.

On another note, I was just emailing with Chan about some potential items. Maybe it was just the specific fabrics I was inquiring about, but it seems like they raised their prices again. Unfortunate, but I guess the HK economy is doing much better these days!

I've warned Peter about this fellow. Told PL to show Apples the Patak Phillipe S200 bunch and to charge him a premium for the Swiss made cloth.
