Why does society push us men towards having Blue Collar fashion cues? i.e. wearing work boots (even gentlemen travelers), filson bags, jeans, leather jackets, driving pick up trucks, etc.

Since when is aiming for mediocrity a good thing?

I've noticed this. It's like people think we'll be impressed if they inform us all how much they look down on those who work for a living.

Well put. I would rather be a blue collar than a white collar any day of the week.

They could make contrasting shirt collars/cuffs in blue.

It's part of the classless society. Use the term "classless" as you deem appropriate.
