first thing I noticed - the new and much thicker MOP buttons, they are an awesome upgrade, absolutely great happy.gif

Kent, did you change the buttons only for the pique polos, or for the striped jersey polos too?

I could imagine that the more substantial buttons work perfect for the thicker and rougher pique fabric, while for the thinner and smoother jersey fabric the thinner buttons would eventually be the better choice?

Yes, new polos are here:

Polo navy Polo green

All polos in this batch, and going forward, will have thicker MOP buttons. If you're wondering which polos still have the old buttons, there aren't that many. And no, we can't go through the shirts to check for you; this would be a logistical nightmare.

Navy is already sold out. The next shipment will be September.

I made a few XXL in white only to try out.

Yes, I think large would be best.

I might introduce the navy grenadine 3.5" in a longer length in October as a trial to see if there is sufficient demand. It's expensive to stock so many different sizes of each tie. It might not even be a good business decision to stock 3" but I do it because that's what I wear.

I have 18" shoulders and a 39" chest.

I wear a size 3 in Lacoste Polos and a Medium in Burberry Polos if that helps narrow it down.

I have identical measurements and the large fit me perfectly. Mine were a little shorter than lsited on the site, which was a happy accident for me, but the 20" straight down in the body was perfect.

The only compliant I have is the polo are the sleeves are a little short; it could be an inch longer.

^ Looks good. Most of my socks are Marcoliani, although I tend to wear OTC.

I just wanted to mention that Kent looked after me really well recently when I had a cufflink damaged in shipping - immediately sorted me out with no quibbling and accommodated my further request regarding another order. I am getting a lot of use out of the double-sided links, especially the white MOP, highly attractive yet very subtle.

I'll buy one. Or several. Extra long ties are just too hard to find. Nice ones, especially.

New white mother of pearl cuff links $25 I don’t usually hype up my products, but the quality of the mother of pearl on these cuff links is superlative. They’re absolutely mesmerizing to look at. I have a bit of an obsession with all things mother of pearl. Have you ever stuck your hand into a box of 500 mother of pearl buttons? It’s a phenomenal feeling, cool to the touch. In all my experience handling mother of pearl I have never seen such iridescent ones as these. I challenge anyone to find better.

Some beauty shots used in yesterday's post:

500

Seriously, Kent, these things are great. You need to keep more of them in stock, particularly the navy which is a really nice deep authentic navy.

The shirt looks good. I am have 3 and can not wait until the navy gets back in stock. Kent's design is how all polos should be made.

Can I ask where the polo shirts are made?

In Vietnam, in a nice, clean, air-conditioned factory that I have visited myself.

Black onyx & mother of pearl studs $75 Reversible, wear mother of pearl for white tie, onyx for black tie. The only stud set you will ever need.Unlike the more common T-bar backs, these studs are designed like double-sided cuff links and are more secure and comfortable to wear.

Would you say they match nicely with both of your onyx and mother of pearl cufflinks?

I have three of your polos and wear them all the time. In the future, I think it would be great if you'd do some striped pique polos. Maybe starting with just navy/lavender/light blue etc. each with white stripes to keep it simple and ensure adequate interest in each one.

It has been surprisingly hard to find good striped pique fabrics. In December there will be a new batch of colors which will include a grey with white stripes.

It's finally here, as the steel blue grenadine tie.
