I love the wholecut look, but I would still buy these as my classic black shoe.  High shine just the captoe portion and they will be great looking.

I was thinking the same thing. I got my first black captoe's before I really knew what I was doing and they've got a chiseled toe whose squareness I've come to just not like over time (they're Sutor for Borrelli).

These look great and the bang-for-the-buck quality ratio is off the charts.

Quality is easily on par with Carmina and others in that range.

Kent has stated the hand grade is on par with Lobb/EG, and the bench grade is on par with Carmina.

That's a pretty bold statement with the hand grade, but I can vouch for the bench.

Excited to receive a benchgrade pair tomorrow. I have both C&J and Carmina, so I'd be happy to write up a review. I'm certain Kent's words will hold true.

The VBC Four Seasons book looks amazing.

I am looking for a second sport jacket.  My first was a navy hopsack.

I mostly have navy and grey dress pants.  Is there a consensus "2nd sport jacket" for versatility?
