I would agree that is probably the case. The way I see it, I have a good (not great) first suit and adjustments can be made to have a perfect one the next time. I'm hoping that would be in the case if I decide to order another.

Hi guys,

Here is the side view of my trial suit. The shoulder looks a little odd to me. Should I increase the armhole? And anything else I should do?

Thank you very much.

I just ordered my third KW suit with an unstructured jacket in fabric 101050, which should be perfect for S/S weather. Should be here in about a month, will post pics upon arrival. I didn't make many changes to the jacket, as my last purchase (navy blazer which I've posted several pics of here) came out pretty perfect, I just added 0.5 cm to the overall length, which is a relatively negligible amount but I needed just a little bit more to keep the jacket from being too close to the shorter side of acceptable.

For the pants I made some more changes, my last suit was decent but the legs were still a little slimmer than I would typically like to wear, so I increased the leg size, from thigh to bottom hem. I also made some changes to the angle of the leg to try and reduce some bunching under the seat due to my forward hips posture. I'm hoping to see some good results due to these changes!

Thanks man. Now that you purchased something, I don't have to. I was on the brink between jacket and chukkas. I'm going chukkas since you went jacket. :-P

Nice fistbump.gif There are so many nice fabrics for a lightweight S/S unstructured SC, so that will be my next purchase, but for now I needed a new suit for summer weddings. I have my eye on TRE1001 (in the picture online it looks like a stripe but it's actually a windowpane), so once I test the fit of this new suit jacket I will most likely pick that up next.

Well, I actually have a list of the things I need.

First are Chukkas, just for casual. Then a brown SC from KW.. for casual and work. THEN a suit. I don't even own a suit right now. My work places are usually pretty casual and don't care for the most part. My new job is actually either WFH or running meetings. So once that picks up, I might need a suit or two. Just not sure what to get as far as a pants configuration. Of course, navy for the first suit.

I want to order another one to give it a second shot, but I am becoming hesitant. I would imagine Kent and his team would get it right this time around, but at close to $1k for a decent fabric, I don't know if I will take the risk. I may just stick with Formosa from NWMA as the cut fits me great.

I also don't want to deter anyone away from KW. They were good to work with and most people here have had good results. I don't even consider my own result poor...just not perfect for someone who is very picky.

Aren't the sartoria Formosa suits over twice the price of KW? Kind of hard to compare the products...

Taking nominations for s/s versatile sport coat fabrics. As much as I want green, I'm open to others if someone has found something they ended up loving (that's not plain blue).

Valid point, but I got the one I have during the end of season sale for almost half price. I'm guessing Greg will have something similar going into F/W14. That being said, I'll probably give KW another shot at getting it dialed in.

Could you guys also suggest a dark navy 4 season fabric from price range A to C for my first suit? I really have a hard time looking at the swatch online. Dark navy, charcoal and black look so similar to me. I did find some pics of suits made of Tr7089 and Ar0011. They both seem to look not dark enough to me. If possible, could you guys post some pics for me? Thanks a lot.

I also have a suit in production with this fabric. Tira's pictures on TSB sold me.
