Unstructured jackets

We can now do a unstructured construction, with no canvas or chest padding. There is a $70 discount for this. The front is not as smooth but it's very light weight and a good casual look.

Do you plan on adding (or already have) any fresco fabrics?
No, as they're quite expensive to keep in stock. But you could source it yourself as a CMT order. The CMT price is the same as the A range fabrics, which covers the administrative costs. So a 2-piece suit is $750.

Placed a first order earlier this week (just a simple white linen pocket square, since they're impossible to find anywhere) and the shipment notification e-mail came in almost immediately. That's fantastic (although I'm fairly certain it'll get hung up at customs). Thank you, Kent, for providing very reasonable shipping costs for your Canadian customers.

Any idea when you'll be restocking Saphir Renovateur?

Would love to see pics of some examples - and I'll bet I'm not alone. :nodding:

My order took about 7 days. That's to Toronto.

Has anyone else had the plain toe bals be way too big when ordering tts? I'm typically a 10.5d and these extend a good past near the end of my toes. I'm guessing part of it is not being used to such a sleek last? As in, there's a good chance these are meant to extend further past my big toe than, say, a pair of random Aldens?

Mine were pretty much right-on tts. Keep in mind that a little extra length in the toe may be by design. How does the ball of your foot fit in the shoe? The ball should line up with the widest part of the forefoot of the shoe.

Hey Kent,

Been drooling over the custom suits here for a while now, and I'm seriously thinking about springing for one soon. However, the one thing that concerns me is the aggressively slim cut of the base suit. I lift weights frequently and have an athletic/muscular build. I'm about 5'11", 195 pounds, with a 44 inch chest and 35 inch waist. Hardly slim, but not overweight. Obviously, I need a more traditional cut suit, and I'm wondering if this would be a problem with your custom suit? I'd probably start with the 44R trial jacket and 36 trousers. I have somewhat thick legs as well: how alterable are the pants measurements in the seat and thigh? I'm assuming they'd be too slim as is.

I'm a college student, so roughly $800 on a suit is a huge investment for me! I'd hate to be unhappy with the end result, so naturally I'm a little wary of the whole process of communicating adjustments over the internet, especially as the adjustments might need to be rather large and I have no experience whatsoever with custom/MTM clothing. Not to mention, there's only one shot at getting the adjustments right from the starting point of the trial suit. I'd feel much better actually having someone measure me or seeing the trial suit on me in person, but if you're confident this can work, then so am I!

My bicolor tie is my favorite yet. I'll get the light blue/navy soon enough. Any plans to bring more colors to them?

Been eyeing this for awhile and unf bought a purple cashmere knit instead but would've rather gotten the bi-color instead.

What do you wear this with? Might just sell mine for KW's

We have very similar proportions and it worked out wonderfully for me! I'm actually planning to buy a couple more suits in the very near future. I went with the 44R and 36 trousers. I brought the waist in and had the seat let out. I am a former sprinter in college and a cyclist now, so my thighs are always a concern.

Kent actually posted a photo of me along with his alteration suggestions previously in this thread. I'm generally a neophyte when it comes to suit fit, but Kent made the process simple through email exchanges and photos. I'd say give it a try.

Thanks for the reply--that's very encouraging. I looked up the posts you were referencing. Did you make all the changes Kent suggested? Any chance you could post some pictures of the finished result of your MTM suit? Do you mind sharing your height, weight, and measurements? PM me if you want.

Anyone else with similar proportions to me who has purchased an MTM suit care to chime in with comments or pictures?

More folks should really post their finished suits. With the options they selected if not defaults. It would be helpful to everyone, I think.
