Am I just misreading this? RLPL is definitely not $1k for a suit--it's priced up there with Kiton.

There's a lot of it floating around eBay and B&S for $1k, but that's not NWT.

I think he meant that if you like the RLPL aesthetic, the KW is a good value at $1k

I've seen lots of RLPL suits for under $1K NWT both on eBay and B&S here.

Purchased a pair of the black plain toe balmorals to wear to my wedding. I thought it was a bit on the pointy side when i first got them but it's only because i was wearing normal pants rather than a full suit. With normal suit pants i thought they looked great, and they're extremely comfortable. Quite happy with the quality for the price. Kind of wish i had gotten my whole suit from Kent Wang after seeing some of the pics.

Wow, love that darker brown calf, especially on the monkstraps and the penny loafers. Looks like the museum calf on the recent Meermin MTO group-buy.

I would love to see a split-toe blucher in this leather...

When are you expecting the new linen shirts to show up?
I own a St. Andrews made RLPL suit, numerous Caruso Sartoria Parma suits, and two Isaia suits. Construction wise, I would put my Kent Wang on par with all of those. I don't need to rip the suits apart to figure this out. Fit wise, not even close. I fit into an off the rack suit with pretty modest tailoring, but my KW's are still superior by far in terms of fit.

It's the same leather, Ilcea Radica.

I don't like split-toes, so that probably won't happen.

No. "Out in the wild" photos can be deceptive. Obviously the appearance changes depending on the lighting, but we use a calibrated monitor to show what it will look like in average conditions.

My trouser preferences probably diverge somewhat from the SF norm: I like a high rise (at the true waist) and a fuller cut, with a moderate taper. The trousers I've seen in this thread seem to trend towards the opposite aesthetic. Vox's famous fit pic below is a good approximation of what I'm after.

I understand that such Voxian perfection is impossible without going bespoke, but can Kent's pattern be adjusted to similar proportions, and has anybody gone this route? And are forward pleats an option, or only reverse?

We can adjust all those measurements easily. I've made fuller leg trousers for a few customers.

Where are the handgrade shoes made? They look great.

Are any of the handgrade models slightly wider? Someing between a D and an E?

Thanks Kent, is this more misty calf instead of museum calf

Damn straight! That seam belongs in back.

I've only ever seen one I liked, and it was recently.
