I am also ordering a navy sportcoat (well, a shade slightly lighter than navy) from KW. I'm waiting on the fabric samples but I think I'll opt for something a bit lighter than navy so it's more interesting and doesn't look as dark. I think I'm going to go half-lined, soft shoulders, patch pockets, and minimal pick stitching. Thoughts? This will be a staple navy jacket that should be good for a lot of different situations.

That's what my SC was from a couple pages back. I don't regret it. Of course the fabric and color was different.

I'm getting wide lapels on a jacket just as you described in about three weeks. I almost already regret it though, as the standard lapels were pretty damn good looking. But it'll be nice to have at least one of each to decide for the next one.

That fits you really well out of the box.

Listen to every word Kent says. I have suggestions but I don't know what I'm talking about :-)

And actually I think your size makes those lapels look great. Nowhere near ostentatious or conservative.

So am I the only one going for sports coats instead of suits? Or are people just not posting pictures? I feel you can get more creative with what you want. I have another SC on the way, a staple Navy with wide lapels/patch pockets. Then probably a suit.. with another sports coat :-D

My next purchases will be a staple grey suit, then I'll move on to SCs....just as soon as I can afford some new clothes. Probably a staple navy blazer and then something more interesting, like a brown guncheck.

Which fabric did you pick for a navy blazer?

7124 via Kent's suggestion.

The suit will be one of the darker navy's on that same card.

Then the sports coat coming with that will probably be some sort of windowpane. Not sure about color.

Looks like a great choice for a staple blazer. I was hoping Kent would source some medium-weight hopsack fabric for a 4 season navy blazer.

Don't do the narrow lapels; it will look stupid.

Probably 7064....sorry, typing this on my phone an I can't hyperlink back to Kent's site. But it looks like a pretty standard mid grey. Anybody else have a suit made up with that fabric?

I'll track down a better picture, but KW midnight blue shawl collar. Fantastically well made, Kent. I got a ton of compliments.

Looks great. Would you be willing to provide your height/weight? I'm thinking about giving KW a shot and trying to decide between the 34 and 36.
