^^Right, only the first-gen PS3s (the 40GB and 60GB) are backwards-compatible. You can only find those on eBay now. I switched my 360 for a PS3 after too many 360 failures, and I haven't looked back. Rundown of the better games I've played: -LittleBigPlanet is fun and kitchy with Super Mario gameplay. Stephen Fry does incredible voice work and the game has charm to it. The user-generated content is great. One of the best on the console. -The PS Network has some visually stunning games: PixelJunk Eden, Flower, Everyday Shooter, Echochrome. These games all cost $10 or less, and Eden and Flower are must-plays (in my opinion). -I've heard great things about Demon's Souls. Brian and dusty love it and they have great taste in games so I'm eager to check it out. -MGS4 and Uncharted 2 are Michael Bay movies, for better or worse. Spectacular pieces, summer-movie stories but nothing new. MGS4 has slightly more complex gameplay; both have cult multiplayer followings (UC2 plays like Quake or Unreal, MGS4 plays closer to airsoft/paintball). There are also a number of sequels coming out (Assassin's Creed 2, God of War 3, Dead Rising 2) which may or may not be your taste...demos will appear on PSN, I'm sure. I'm not a quality whore but I feel the PS3 upscales DVDs just fine. Blu-Ray is great on it, and PS3 also recently obtained Netflix support (if you'd like to stream to your TV).
