But for me Slim baiting is an Olympic sport. It's the only consolation I have before my usual thrashing.

Enjoy it while it lasts then.

It's not hubris, by the way, its confidence borne of experience.

This year I think you stepped over your usual line by procaiming the worst you will do is number two. Then the baseball gods began karmic justice against your team.

(Of course Aramis Ramirez's injury hasn't helped mine either)

not in the sf league, but in a different league...

i have Fielder and Pena at 1st and Longoria and ARod at 3rd
I can only start 3 of them on an everyday basis, so who do i trade?

Trade Pena, he had a hot start with the HRs but he's the most likely not to keep it up. Unless you can get a Santana, Sabathia, or Lincecum with A-Rod.

Either Pena or Fielder.

Sadly (for me) A-Rod's season may turn out well yet.

I like Longoria to keep this up longer than Greinke, but you do have a surplus at 3B. I'd see if I could grab another player along with Greinke, or offer him Fielder.

Need some help here guys- I have Mark Texeira, and have been offered Victor Martinez and Nelson Cruz.

My inclination is to turn it down.

Opinions?

Unless you really need a catcher and have a 1B ready to plug in I'd turn that down. In that lineup, with A-Rod now hitting behind him, the first two months over with, and playing in that stadium, Texeira is poised for a monster second half. I'd bet that's why your getting the offer now.

I also have Carlos Pena at first, but his BA is heading South as usual. Plus Martinez has a tendency to get hurt.

I don't need another outfielder, and in fact I recently dropped Cruz in this league.

This dude is one of the few who beats me half the time (Slim- shudup), and I don't want to give him bullets to shoot me.

Someone only beats you half the time?

It's not a good trade. Don't even think about it.

You just dropped Cruz? WTF for?

Because I have Vlad, Ichiro, Justin Upton, Kendry Morales, and Felipe Lopez.

Cruz slumped all the way down to the mid-200s in Yahoo rankings, and his Pecota ranking is mediocre at best.

We're talking about Nelson Cruz, he of the 26 overall Yahoo ranking? You don't think you would've had any trade takers?
