Anyway my team sucks major balls. My "staff ace" is a #3 guy on a decent squad, my "relief ace" has HR-itis, and I have like a 6.00 ERA average on the season. So painful!

Ervin will be OK. But yeah, you're pitching does not look good, especially because Oswalt is not himself. You really need an ace in this format to anchor the staff. And losing Manny obviously kills you.

I'm pretty enthused about my club which will get even better down the stretch and in the playoffs with Price and Webb. I honestly wouldn't trade my roster for anyone, though I do covet Slim's 1-2 Pujols/A-Rod punch for the rest of the season. They can lock up multiple categories on their own, but I don't think his staff looks as good as it did on draft day, even if Hamels appears to have rebounded.

Nothing ever goes quite as planned in fantasy sports. Thats why I strive fora balanced team. My pitching will be fine. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I've been dropping the ball as of late as to paying attention to my leagues, and I'm suffering for it. Right now I feel like that may be the only thing that dooms my season.

Unfortunately I'm not the team with Ervin. At least Santana and Oswalt have potential; I'm the guy who's using Joba as a #1. I have Slowey and Baker who might return to last season form but my pitching looks dire.

I normally agree with Slim but this was a weird year for fantasy. I'm not in the mood to play, as it were. It's a long season though and things can definitely change.

I need to make a couple more free agent moves to gel my team. Nothing feels right yet other than the fact that I'm beating Slim like a rug.

Hey guys,l

Need some advice. I'm leaving the country for 2.5 months in 2 weeks and won't have time to check my baseball team all too often. I could still play by setting rosters for 1-2 week periods and hoping no one goes to the DL. Clearly I'd lose a lot of day-to-day flexibility. Since I'm in first place right now, I don't want to just sacrifice the team.

Would you recommend managing from afar or handing off the team to another SF member?

Do you have a friend you could trust?

My brother might be willing to do it...

You might have better luck if you responded to trade offers.

I'm serious, he's a pretty good player, we're very competitive and play against each other in 2 other leagues.

We BOTH will crush Slim.

Thanks, I will definitely consider it. Gimme until late May to make a decision.

I don't need a partner. But If I get bored toying with you, I might let J cut you up a little.

Speaking of toying with...

What are you- 15 games behind me now?

I am concerned about Ass Rod's apparent healthy return and Peavy's complete game however.

As well you should be. If you are 15 or more games up on me at the All Star Break, THEN you MIGHT be safe gloating a little. Until then, its just going to piss off the baseball gods. Just remember that 15 games can swing in a couple weeks. I'm not saying its going to, but that's how easy it is.

Perhaps. I have a good feeling @ beating you this year because of your hubris- which is even higher than usual.

But for me Slim baiting is an Olympic sport. It's the only consolation I have before my usual thrashing.
