12 lengths at 25m each = 300m. Half breast stroke, half front crawl. Not a bad effort seeing as I haven't been in a year and could do 8 lengths then, I think the pool was longer though.

lame question, i know, but how tight am i supposed to be wearing speedos? i wear 30" in just about all of my pants (although i'm 6' and my waist measurement is slightly larger than this..), should I opt for the same size trunks or size up?

I just started swimming again after not swimming since my summer club team in high school.

2 x 200 meters
1 x 100 meters
1 x 200 meters
1 x 100 meters

800 meters total. I have forgotten what a great overall workout swimming is. I am thinking of joining my local Y so I can swim all winter.

I go sightly smaller because they stretch out to normal size after two weeks. The ones that fit new end up saggy.

Wake up, thread.

Twice a week. I don't know how many meters. I need a gadgety swim watch smile.gif.

Today, I swam in a low-chlorine pool for the first time; that was great. I felt like taking a gulp.

4000-5000 meters every day, usually fast/threshold-ish sets, sprints, drill sets, some kicking sets. fly practice every day.

on distance days, i'll do 2k meters straight through at a comfortable pace in 30 mins. and then do sets.

i wish! i just started a year ago. well, i swam as a kid, but then stopped for 17 years or so and am just getting back into it. trying to get my times down.

considering how my swimming buddy does 7k, i'm kind of a slacker.
