Have you seen Precious? If so, let us know what you think about the movie.
I think it's one this years best.

I've always been a big fan of Mo'Nique. This is this year's The Wrestler. I'm going to watch it first chance I get.

Call me crazy, but the trailer looks meh, and I stopped being impressed by these sob story movies...considering it's been done a thousand times in the past.

On par with The Passion of the Christ.

Not enough white people.

I thought it was spectacular. I also thought that about Where the Wild Things Are.

"A movie about an obese Harlem girl raped and impregnated by her abusive father" SRSLY?

The trick is to turn to your SO and laughingly say "Its funny because theyre blaque". Then no-one will think youre a racist.

Your first mistake was watching a 'Madea' movie, those films tend to stink IMO. Otherwise, there's absolutely nothing wrong with watching a film of another culture, for the most part it demonstrates an open mindset (just make sure the movie is worth watching).

Agreed! I got trapped into seeing part of one. I left before the end. Never again.

I don't have much of a desire to read a book written by an author that goes by the singular nom de plume of Sapphire.

Was thinking of seeing it, but then I found out it wasn't the latest Eddie Murphy "fat suit" comedy.
