Other than J.Crew, are there any other sources for an affordable cashmere winter hat??, i.e. no Cucinelli or Loro Piana.

Ralph Lauren, but they are rather thin. I bought one from Banana Republic years ago and it's my go-to cap. It's very thick and the elastic holds very well.

Nordstroms had some decent ones last year so I assume they might this year as well.

Guerra 1855 makes by far the best production ones, don't settle for anything less unless you go Bespoke.

What's the deal with J. Crew? The streetwear and denim crowd seems to love them, while hating on all the other mall brands. Last time I was in a J. Crew, everything was just machine made in China. What am I missing? Why do they get the love?

The name is something of an embarrassment but the hats are fantastic, and at a reasonable price, too.
