Yeah, it's simple rock but surprisingly tuneful. Great choruses. Plus 3/4 of the band is hott.

I'd smash.

The drummer sucks, their production is usually terrible and they're horrible live.

But there are two or three good-to-great songs on each of the albums I've heard.

best song: "Strutter" cover. I've got it on a clear 7"

sounds tinny on this video, but the vinyl is a lot thicker

Love the Donnas, at some point almost every day at work I play either "Spend the Night" or "Bitchin"

Don't like the stuff before "Spend the Night", it's like Allison Robertson went from generic punk-ish guitarist to world class guitarist in between "Turn 21" and "StN"

They have some great live shows on youtube from their Desert Moon 2 concert, really awesome sound and video quality as I think it came off their dvd

and 3/4 are hot, Maya Ford used to be cute but somehow gained 100 lbs in between record releases. Allison also plays in local chick hard rock cover band called The Chelsea Girls, who are playing this sat nite at the Roxy

They're solid. Legit rockers, not a prepackaged corporate parody of "rock chicks" ala Ashley Simpson.

singer Bret and Leighton Meester have a bit of resemblance, a good thing

I thought Allison looked way hotter with dark hair, not a fan of her going blonde

Tori is imo the cutest of the bunch

I liked the Ramones era more than the Motley Crue era.

hmmm, I need to get the "Greatest Hits" - sounds like a lot of the early stuff re-recorded. Has to be an improvement over the early Lookout discs.

In the dim distant past, I dated chicks who looked a lot like their drummer and lead singer. I still occasionally use memories from those times when I need to plunder the 'wank bank'. Thus, this band will be forever linked to teh sexytime. Would hit.

That first song sounds kinda like a Foo Fighters one, too.

I actually used to listen to the Donnas a lot back in the 90's, I liked them.

Guilty pleasure of mine. Haven't listened to much they've put out in the last 5 years, but terrific band for straight ahead, almost 70s rock.

Get it, it rocks. Not a greatest hits at all, most of it will sound fresh.
