Yeah, they're pretty much true to size. Maybe a smidge larger. They're rather tall in the mid foot section. Don't know how else to describe that.

I, too, would rather have the Tellmans, but was in the market for a nice brown shoe anyway. Perfect timing.

So what would you call the Stantons... PRL? All the markings are RLPL, but it's obviously not.

I have a size 8.5US Tellman, looking to trade for a 9US....

I guess just RL. Fwiw, my Antique Tan Tellmans were branded PRL whereas the brown ones pictured here just indicate RL...

Made in Italy are still RLPL.

Can't believe I missed the original PSA. Hate to be that guy but if anyone got a pair of 12's that doesn't work for them....

I probably would have passed on the Stantons but $79 for the Tellman's is just insane. That's one you don't think about, you just pull the trigger.

That and it looks like they came in the RLPL box.

The C&J's are keepers guys. I have come to the conclusion the Tellman is marked 1/2 size up from english size. I am a true 9d and the tellman in 8.5US has the same exact sole length as the C&J Hallam, and being that the 348 last is very similar to the Tellman, I think its fair to say that you should size 1/2 down. The Italy shoe on the other hand is on a very short last and runs small. You need to go up half size in order to get a correct fit. Quality: The Polo Tellman definitely has the same leather as my benchgrade C&J's. A bonus is the Sole is channeled and full sock liner. Hallam vs. Tellman:

That's different than my experiences. The Tellman should be on the 337, which could account for the length difference. However, a 8.5D in the Tellman should be a 7.5E on the 337.

+1 I had confirmed this with Mr. Huqstable at C&J London. Fwiw, my US9D PRL Benton (C&J Belgrave, also on the 337) are marked 9D inside the shoes, but the box lists US9D and UK8.5. This is incorrect as C&J states they convert a full size US/UK and my US9D Benton are the same as a UK8E Belgrave.
