A family friend came over yesterday with a bottle of Dark Lord 09. Fucking fantastic doesn't do it justice.

Went to my Sister-in-Laws house and a family friend showed up with a bottle of Captain Morgan. Normally I'm a beer or wine drinker but that Captain and Diet went down pretty smooth. First time I've had a rum & coke in years.

A buddy of mine showed up with a gallon or two of some micro brewery brown ale. Good stuff. It also explains why I had a hard time getting motivated earlier today.

From Sherry-Lehmann, I take it? One of my favorite wine shops in the city. I did some damage there myself this past Weds. Picked up a bottle of the Nouveau, along with several bottles of non-Duboeuf Beaujolais, Chinon, Gewurztraminer and Port. All went over very well with the turkey crowd.

The dinner will be traditional: turkey, dressing, yams, sprouts etc. Appetizers will be Jambon Iberico, olives, almonds, gougere etc. Dessert will be pumpkin chiffon pie and if I get ambitious pumpkin creme brulee.
