this board isn't representative of the general public. a g-star logo doesn't carry this symbolic baggage as a LV or nike logo does; people on the street probably don't know and don't care what g-star is.

and so i rock out with my g-ock out.

Here in Montreal, there is an abundance of g-star/diesel wearers. They are considered high end streetwear brands by a lot of people (mostly teens). This is due to the mark up these brands get in general over here. I've never seen a pair of CPs for sale in a store but they would most likely be around $450-500 CAD.

Funny story about G-Star:

My cousin was in a store, and tried on a G-Star jacket. When she put her arm through, the entire sleeve ripped off the jacket at the shoulder. She said the jacket it happeneded on retailed for around $400.

It's because of Simon's, they have a relatively large presence there (both G-Star and Diesel). I don't get the pricing on Diesel's non-denim items ...

I still need a winter coat so I will probably check out G-Star again.

Last I checked, Simons had shitty G-Star coats. Try uh, Aritmetik or something like that in Les Cours de Mont Royal which stock a lot of G-Star stuff. (They have another store on St. Laurent I think. Near Boutique U & I) Lots of other garbage in there too though. Influence-U on St. Catherine(next to the McDonalds near Guy-Concordia) also stocks em.

I wear a fair bit of G-Star, always the subtly branded pieces, of course.

Some of my favourite jackets like:

And:

I also have and love some of their shoes, these:

And another pair the same but in all grey.

BTW, if you're buying their shoes online, buy a size smaller than you usually wear. Their clothes are small fitting and their shoes; for some reason are larger than usual.

I'd like to not wear so much G-Star but whenever I'm looking for new clothes the items I happen to like most are almost always G-Star. Great fit and look.

Love G-Star. I'm more on the skinny side so Its really hard for me to find good fitting things. Jack Jones and G-star seem to fit me really well and I like the Military style they put out.

I have the coupla following items from them and I love em both, one not so branded but the other, the GSTAR brand looks amazingly designed.

I have a few young female friends who wear G star and it looks great on them (no big logo stuff however).

I'm 22 and used to be big on g-star when I was 17-18 years of age. Now, I look back on it and see it as a bit tacky and childish. Mainly due to the silly branding stamped all over their peices as if its something to be proud of...

Yeah. I do not like Bench because of the huge BENCH they'd plaster all over their shit. Same with anything in fact. G-star is the same, I don't mind little branding. And I don't mind the design they did on their Destructo line for their logo which looks awesome. But never a huge spamming G-STAR RAW logo. I won't deal with that lol.

I thought it was worth sharing with you all on this thread, that i am selling quite a in-depth collection of my g-star wardrobe. Most of these items are jackets. From different collections including G-Star's highly popular Correct line (the dressier, sophisticated, suit cut and tailored G-star pieces) and other collections. All these items have almost no branding in them. Like many of you, I too hated the over-branding g-star is known for and it is also known the brand-free pieces are hard to find.

The pieces i'm selling range between Never worn > Worn 1-2 times. I will list below the items im selling with the condition theyre in. The prices im asking range from 1/4 to 1/3 of the original price i paid for, so they're a real steal as they say.

What's the catch?

I simply lost weight smile.gif and the jackets i have are too big haha. All the jackets im selling are in a Medium and im officially a small. Please allow me 3-5 days to photograph the pieces up for sale. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions or like to see extra pictures and i''ll do my very best for you.

Truth be told im sad to see these pieces, but theyre too big for me and will sadly sit in my wardrobe. I'd rather someone have them, wear them, enjoy them and really appreciate the timelessness of these pieces for years to come. Photos will be posted in the next 3-5 days, but if you have immediate requests for certain items, you will be prioritised first.

All prices are in $AUD [Australian Dollars]

List as follows:

Jackets list
1. G-Star Handcrafted Labour Jacket > Indigo > Selvage Denim > Size Medium > $170 > Never Worn (Includes sewing kit)
2. G-Star Sleen Correct Jacket > Navy > Cotton Twill > Size Medium > $100 > Worn twice
3. G-Star Lennox Jacket (Winter version with waist belt) > Waxed Cotton > Black > Size Medium > $150 > Worn Once
4. G-Star Module Cardigan  > Melton Wool (with some nylon details) > Navy > Size Medium > $100 > Never Worn
5. G-Star Correct Line Suit Jacket 1 > Light Grey with fine white pinstripe > Size Medium > $120 > Never Worn
6. G-Star Ward Paletot (Winter Overcoat) > Heavy Melton Wool (quilted) > Black > Size Medium > $120 > Never Worn
7. G-Star New Correct Line trench (lightweight trench) > Lightweight Waxed Nylon > Navy > Size Medium > $120 > Never Worn

Shirts list
1. G-Star Midnight Denim shirt > Indigo denim shirt > Size Medium > $50 > Worn Once
2. G-Star Correct Line button down shirt > Oxford cotton > Light blue > Medium > $50 > Never Worn

OK that's the list as i said i will post pictures within the next few days as im in the middle of photographing them all. Any questions or requests again please PM me and i'll happily oblige.

Thanks for your time, and i look forward to hearing from you smile.gif

maybe it's unfair, but G-star always comes off to me as the grown-up version of abercrombie
