AG SPALDING BROS NEW YORK briefcase dark brown. NEW PRICE 180 USD SHIPPED

Very good looking soft briefcase in pebble dark brown leather. Really gives the piece a vintage feel. It has been used once only, so condition is perfect. Only problem is the missing shoulder strap, I took it off after buying it, and haven't been able to find it. But obviously you can carry the bag by handle, which looks a lot better to me. Retail price on this item is 1000 USD, I am selling at a low price because off the missing strap. It has plenty of pockets : 1 main pocket, 1 protective pocket for the computer (can holds any laptop), 1 zipped inside pocket, 1 pocket for the phone, several slots for pens, 1 outside pocket for newspapers. It’s 18 inches long, 12 inches wide and 4 inches deep.

I have this suit in a peak lapel variation, and it's very nice. The suiterati might quibble about it not being fully canvassed or whatnot, but for the younger, stylish gent without deep pockets, it's a good choice. Slim fitting, fine, light weight wool.

(BTW, they were $1600 here in Beverly Hills.)

Ah crap, awful timing. I need a new solid navy but I've got no money to spend until the 1st.

Interesting...Any chance of pictures with it on?

Hmm okay, is it half-canvassed or fused?

Also, is the color a classic navy? Looks slightly purplish in the pics.

I am off now for a full day and will be back with answers to all the questions and PM on saturday morning. Sorry about that unexpected delay. But the suit remains available. And btw, color is a very classical navy.

Just to make sure I understand this, you put up a suit, then you take the highest bidder?

And I want to make sure I have this correctly, someone offered to pay you $300 for the suit for no reason? Or you told them that someone beat them and then they offered to outbid?

ok, carry on. I respectfully pull my hand out of the lot

The offer of 300 doesn't come from a forum member. But from a friends relative. When I mentionned I was selling the suit, the guy just offered me that money. Simple as that. And he should have paid me a few hours ago, and haven't. So it's still in the air. But I don't worry for you, I am sure you will find plenty of $250 PS suits. And plenty of sellers who would give up on $50 that just to keep you happy.
