Ditto for me. 8.5 across the board.

When you say true to size do you mean true to the size in the shoe? This would imply that English sizing comports to American which is rarely the case....

Edwardian falls in between burnt pine and chestnut, it's stunning.

Here's the deal on the sale, at least in NYC. All the shoes, EG and C&J's included are 40% off plus an additional 15%. That brings EGs in at $433 plus tax which also includes the shoe trees. The C&Js are $300 plus tax.

This is very tempting - I may just have to sign over some of my tax refund to Ralph.

Andrew, by any chance do you know if the Mansion has the Dover/Pitney?

Here are a few sizing tidbits that may help:

I have feet which are pretty much 11E US.

The EGs in 202 last in size 10.5E UK fit me perfectly. The writing inside the shoe is 10.5/11 E 202. These were the EGs from Asprey.

I don't know what width the purple label EGs come in. Anyone?

The Darltons (I have both black and cordovan) in 11D US are much tighter in width than the EGs. It took a loooong break in before they felt comfortable. These were sized in US sizes, so I don't know the english size. I guess if you were a true "D" width these might fit true to size.

EG's are labeled in both their english and american size. If you purchase from the polo website, the American size is listed.

Thanks for the quick responses everyone. I agree about the Darltons - they were tight. A combination of a little bit of shoe stretching and wear has led to a perfect fit, however. That's what I like about shoes that are just a tad too small rather than too big - too big will never fit perfectly, but a little bit too small has the potential to come out just right.

The Camden monks on the site are also EG, right? That "Edwardian" color sure is light. Nice shoe though.

Apparently the Darltons in black and cordovan plaintoe are no longer on Polo.com.

Hey PB...The Mansion does not have the Pitney any longer, but they do have the Carter in dark oak which is the EG Ecton (3 eyelet version of the Dover) on the 888 last. It's incredible!

Is it correct the EGs from the Mansion have the shoes trees, but the ones on polo.com do not?

Thanks

As of the last order frenzy from Polo.com, they too included the shoe trees!

If they have it in my size, it will be mine.

Oh, Andrew. Street pushers could learn a thing or two from you!

The Devil definitely wears Edward Green, not Prada.

I have a new pair of the EG Pitney Lawns in Dark Oak (606 last) that I will sell you. They are size 7.5/8E.
