Pay not attention to those horns on my head, there just for show.
Edwardian falls in between burnt pine and chestnut, it's stunning.
Here's the deal on the sale, at least in NYC. All the shoes, EG and C&J's included are 40% off plus an additional 15%. That brings EGs in at $433 plus tax which also includes the shoe trees. The C&Js are $300 plus tax.
This is very tempting - I may just have to sign over some of my tax refund to Ralph.
Andrew, by any chance do you know if the Mansion has the Dover/Pitney?
The EGs in 202 last in size 10.5E UK fit me perfectly. The writing inside the shoe is 10.5/11 E 202. These were the EGs from Asprey.
I don't know what width the purple label EGs come in. Anyone?
The Darltons (I have both black and cordovan) in 11D US are much tighter in width than the EGs. It took a loooong break in before they felt comfortable. These were sized in US sizes, so I don't know the english size. I guess if you were a true "D" width these might fit true to size.
Thanks for the quick responses everyone. I agree about the Darltons - they were tight. A combination of a little bit of shoe stretching and wear has led to a perfect fit, however. That's what I like about shoes that are just a tad too small rather than too big - too big will never fit perfectly, but a little bit too small has the potential to come out just right.
