Hello fellow SF members,

A little over a month ago I was scammed by an individual and thought all hope was lost until reading about how this forum dealt with the individual "desertintheshape " who scammed user: LilCram, as well as many other's. I posted this issue on other forums but have not had much luck, I was hoping maybe to get help from anyone that is willing.

Here is the original rant I had against him I posted in another forum:

real name: Nathan Drake

Paypal/Email account: [email protected]

What happened: He contacted me about a pair of visvims that he had on ebay, wasn't really interested in them but he said he'd give me a great price. Sent me a whole bunch of pictures and was actually a pretty nice guy. Agreed on a price of $85 sent as a gift payment (Yea I know, but like I said this guy seemed legit as they come, had refs of witts, cweak, and a bunch of other UK Hypebeast members). I sent payment more than 3 weeks ago and haven't received anything and he's been ignoring my emails since. He hasn't logged on since 9-28 either which probably means he left this forum or simply made a new account right after he scammed me.

BEWARE OF THIS EMAIL/PAYPAL ADDRESS: [email protected]

Sucks to get robbed like this obviously (I'm a nice guy) but I guess he needed the money badly to rob me of my $$$.

So after posting this one member sent me his facebook ID:

http://www.facebook.com/people/Nathan-Drake/677777615

I messaged him there but he ignored me and then deleted his account. I just checked now, and it seems his account is back up. It says he is from "Leeds".

How should I go about this? Thanks to all replies. It was really encouraging to see how many of you guys helped eachother in dealig with these pitiful scammers.

Make sure you post about it on hypebeast as well. Scum like this deserve all the internet notoriety you can muster. Nathan Drake of Leeds is a vile scammer. Make it like the Glenn Beck google bombs of yore.

It was originally posted on Hypebeast. I'm filing a report on Consumer Direct right now

I sent the scammer (Nathan Drake, in Leeds) a message, asking him why he likes to scam people. Put it in your signature.

i see this happening a lot in the near future as people learn about this "gift" feature on paypal. the fact that people are so willing to send money this way makes it the perfect way to scam someone. i sell some stuff on here and even had someone send his payment as a "gift" even though i didnt request it.

not sure what you can do about the money at this point, pretty sure it's gone.

^They weren't beat at all but were the FBT's with the cowhide print (pretty ugly but I planned on wearing them w/ the hide part taken off).

Thanks for the support so far. I'm going to message his friends explaining what happened.
