So, I had my eye on this and I was wondering if anyone had experience with Raw 7?

If anyone else has any recommendations for cashmere with nice designs, let me know.

You're seriously considering paying $430 for a cashmere sweater with a a spider screenprint on it?

Perhaps. Perhaps not. I wasn't so much asking your opinion on the design as I was asking for the opinion on the quality of Raw 7 clothing. I did, however, request some other designers for exploration to .. maybe seek out something better?

A cashmere sweater is only worth $400, if you can wear it to the office, the club, the in-laws', and the hospital.

I have .. 6? cashmere sweaters that are all classy/minimalist - one similar to the Thom Browne. I was looking for something more colorful (still incorporating dark colors), like Ed Hardy/in my mind, cool design.. and still cashmere; unique is also nice. The sweater would only be for clubbing as one might assume.

It's not my thing, but Raw 7 clothing is decent quality, though it is definitely not worth the hype markup (my sister-in-law also inexplicably like their stuff.) The cashmere is mediocre, not nearly up to the standards of Loro Piana, or even Malo, closer to say, J Crew. Of course, you are not going to get the Spider print on a J Crew sweater. I understand the whole high/low concept, although my tastes usually run the other way (vintage suits, etc...) and $430 is imo mighty steep for a one wear piece. If you can afford it though, more power to you.

As for Ed Hardy, I like the ink guy, not the fashion line. I think that his stuff translates much better onto skin than onto tees.

I actually only like the designs of 2 Ed Hardy shirts.. I also only like the designs of 2 Raw 7 shirts. I definitely like the high/low concept.. finding someone who can pull it off regularly is difficult - this would be my first foray. I usually dress pretty conservatively, trying something new. Can I afford it? That depends - how much do you have to make to say, afford a pair of 700 dollar shoes in someone's eyes.. just depends on how people budget their money. I've bought quite a bit of crap in the last 3 months, I can do without the sweater; again, I was moreso looking for opinions on the quality and recommendations on the type of clothing with the post. Thanks LA Guy, tackled it pretty much spot on.

I have a Loro Piana cashmere overcoat.. all the LP sweaters I see cost like 400+, as with Cucinelli and Malo.

Kronik ,
I carried raw 7 in my store for both men's and womens.
I did very well with the womens . However I carrie dso really interesting stuff for the mn and it didn't sell well at all.
LA guy is right the **** is expensive and the qulaity of the cashmere is no malo or loro Piana. However in my opinion it beats the hell out of that french brand with the pot leaf that's $1,200.00
I wear the raw 7 hoodies ( cashmere) and I get loads of compliements but the bottom line is are yu going to rock it enough to jsutify the price.
Hell you need something to go with those new jeans!!!!

Mauro, comically enough, I was considering black jeans (the RB6 :p ) and the spider sweater would have worked PERFECTLY with these Gucci loafers I just bought.

Oh, and I concur - Lucien Pellat is overpriced poop.
