Hi, my high school prom is coming up and I was wondering what kind of tux I should get? I was thinking about something along the lines of but I'm not sure about a jacket without buttons, does anyone else have any opinions? I was specifically look for something that has pinstripes btw, thanks again.

Most folks here will tell you to go with the classic: peak lapel, single-breasted tuxedo, in solid black. You can't go wrong with it. And 15 years from now, you'll think you look great in your prom photos.

One thing to bear in mind is that you should dress to let your date shine. Your clothes should be subdued so her outfit will stand out.

If you're dead set on pinstripes, I'm afraid I'm of no use to you. But whatever you decide, have a good time at prom.

Well, it's also traditional to match vest colours with her dress. As for the corsage and boutonniere, get the opinion of the florist. Trust me, they know best. Both me and my date were in white, so she recommended pink to accent both our outfits. I think the result was pretty good.
