Travel bar

So after RJ posted this stunning Goyard travel set in the cool paraphernalia thread I've had a bit of a look around for one in a more reasonable price range.

Here is the Goyard set:

Unfortunately, all I've been able to find are:

Manhattan Cocktail Picnic Set... kind of ok but not really stylish:

The Padova Travel Bar ... getting better:

The New York mini ... wtf can one even do with this?

And once again back to the unattainable... Dunhill travelling cocktail set

What have you guys got?

Beat up flask with my initials engraved on it (present from ex-girlfriend). Generally filled with bourbon.

Fits in back pocket of denimz or inside pocket of sportscoat, and requires no little cups as I swig from the bottle.

I suppose these are somewhat novel but I haven't the foggiest idea why you'd ever really need one of these things.

How often would that set see action? Once or twice than put away never to be used again?

For the alcoholic on the go...

I've got two flasks, one the thin, curving type meant for a jacket inner pocket, and one that has leather straps that attaches to my kilt belt. The only thing I have in the way of a travel set up is this:

http://www.amazon.com/31-Piece-Backp...8556673&sr=8-5

That's not it exactly, but all the same features.

Like I said.

Please. Self-respecting alcoholics just brown bag it. Why spend money on leather boxes and fancy flasks when you could spend it on Beam?

Hey, those are great little backpacks. Big, insulated compartment for food, insulated wine carriers, complete dining set up. I'll be using mine to hike in 10# of brisket and some wine to a friends tailgate spot on the quad this weekend

Still would like that RJ link. Looked through several pages and all I got was a big ugly fish and weird furniture.

How do you avoid getting sticky all over the case when you are done? Where do you wash?

If that's to me, you just bring some plastic grocery bags to tuck dirty utensils into, and some wet wipes for your hands. I also often just pack plastic utensils with paper plates, and toss them on site.

RJ's was the Goyard set I posted first. There is a link to the ebay auction there ... after 19 bids the set went for $2,900!

More than anything is that I'm starting to take an interest in making cocktails and I've got mates that want me to come over to their places and make cocktails, so it'd be nice to be able to take my equipment around in an easy to carry case.

One other issue with the cases is that those that come with a shaker typically have cobbler and not Boston shakers

The Padova is sure nice.

Travel bars remind me of 6 week camping trip down the coast of California into Mexico. Upon arrival every night at the campground we would break out the bar and mix a drink. We met a lot of girls that way.

No, more directed at the OP, but I guess you could wrap the glasses, etc. in plastic bags and replace them in the case.
