post #976 of 1533

again.... i said the dye not the denim/cotton itself

post #977 of 1533

picked up a pair of 201 tapereds, not sure if i can get away without hemming them.. don't really wanna wait the week and a half for shipping both ways

post #978 of 1533

Why do you need hemming? just flip em up another round

but agian what is the difference when in regards to quality, whether it be the cotton(unknown origins ) can hold the dye, or the cheap indigo itself...just sayin it brings up a lot of questions in terms of the denim's quality....these remind me of the levi's Imprints that failed a while back because they go straight to white after about 6 months

@mistahdabolina

I guess you`ve got a point, but is it really necessary speculate very much about the quality of these 98 bucks selvage jeans?

We know its not the top of the line. Personally I am a student, and i cant afford jeans that cost $200+, but i want to experience the fading process.

Actually, in school I have to wear a uniform, and thats like most of my days, so I am happy that the jeans fade really fast! And if I wanted cheap selvage jeans that wouldnt fade this fast, I could have bought the 15oz..

Hey guys, noob here.  this is 10 days of consecutive wear on my 221s.  this is my first pair of raws and I sized down to a 29, my norm being 30.  they started out mildly uncomfortable for 2-3 days but have molded to a comfortable fit.  the material starts out pretty abrasive so the accelerated fading seems to be expected.

Are these jeans better for stretching or shrinking? I just got a pair of 301s in 34 and 36. The 34s are a little tight at the waist and crotch and the 36s are a little loose at the waist and fit fine at the crotch.

From what others have posted, they really don't stretch much and don't shrink much either. I would just wear the 34s if they're just alittle tight

How's the quality on the chambray shirts? Do they shrink a lot or bleed when washing?

go with the 34s, my 201s were tight when i first got them and they stretched a little. now they fit fine. if you stick with the 36's you'll probably regret it, as the 301s are a loose fit to begin with
